NLA is seeking an exceptional and experienced Programme Manager to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to take a central role in our Programme Team, contributing significantly to delivering a wide range of projects that reflect NLA and London’s vibrant built environment community. You will be instrumental in shaping and executing diverse programmes, including research, events, publications, and exhibitions.

About the role
Working closely with the Head of Programme and within the Programme Team, the Programme Manager will lead multiple programme strands and deliver related activities for our professional audiences, including events, research, exhibitions, and publications. Engaging with our Boards, Committees and Panels, this role is critical to our business, ensuring all programmes align with the New London Agenda and meet the needs of our members.
Terms
* Hours: Full time, 40 hours a week worked between 9.00am – 6.00pm. Flexible working from our City of London office, The London Centre (our public gallery) and from home/location of your choice.
* Location: NLA offices in the City of London (Gresham Street and The London Centre, Guildhall)

Main duties and responsibilities
* Work with the Head of Programme on managing and delivering allocated events, publications, and exhibitions as applicable. Plan year-long programme strands when required.
* Manage allocated research pieces by working together with the Head of Programme, Directors and external researchers ensuring tone of voice and editorial style.
* Manage the work of allocated NLA’s Expert Panels, Boards and Committees.
* Manage related NLA programs when needed, including the London Festival of Architecture, London Real Estate Forum, Future City Makers, NLA Collaborate, and various award schemes.
* Collaborate with the Client Relations team to understand our membership and drive its growth.
* Work with the Communications team to ensure content for the website, mailers, and social media is up-to-date and delivered on time.
* Assist the Events team in delivering the events program, including preparation, front-of-house support, and post-event analysis as required.

You have strong, proven experience in research and events programming for professional and public audiences, whether as part of a team or as a self-starter. You are deeply interested in the key issues influencing London's built environment industry and their impact on people and places across the city. You support the New London Agenda and strive for a city of equity, sustainability and prosperity. You share our team's core values by consistently being informed, rigorous, collaborative and responsive in everything you do.
Essential skills & experience
* Strong knowledge and interest in architecture, planning, and design in London
* Precision and great attention to detail, coupled with exceptional communication, project management and problem-solving skills
* Enthusiasm and willingness to undertake additional tasks, work in a fast-paced responsive environment and proactively manage opportunities and risks
* Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Office 365 (Teams), Zealous, Cognito, Adobe Creative Suite, and Zoom. Experience with Apple Mac OS is desirable
* Good interpersonal skills and an excellent standard of English
Please note that some of NLA's events are hosted in the early mornings or into the evenings, with some events taking place on weekends, so the ability to be flexible around event days is essential.
