The Head of Web & CRO is responsible for delivering high-quality marketing websites, microsites, and landing pages that drive exceptional user experiences and conversion strategies. This role leads the web team and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, content managers, SEO, PPC, and other marketing stakeholders. The primary focus is to establish and execute effective web processes, enhance conversion rates, and improve user engagement across the main website and key acquisition channels. This includes overseeing the marketing website, setting CRO strategies, and ensuring smooth coordination of web development projects. What You’ll Be Doing (the nitty gritty) Web Strategy Develop and execute a comprehensive web strategy aligned with business goals, focusing on SEO, lead generation, and conversion optimization. Define, own, and implement the website roadmap and strategy. Improve conversion rates across all key verticals. Collaborate with PPC, SEO, and marketing teams to align web strategy with overall objectives. Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Ensure web accessibility and optimal page performance. Provide insights and recommendations to shape future marketing strategies. Web Project Management & Delivery Optimize and manage website-related request processes, including wireframes, workflows, and prioritization. Oversee website development projects, ensuring clear communication and timely execution. Guide and mentor the web team. Maintain accurate project estimations (15% accuracy) and ensure timely delivery. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Define, own, and execute the CRO strategy to drive key website KPIs. Manage end-to-end CRO execution: Develop and maintain the CRO roadmap. Conduct pre-test data analysis. Ideate, execute, and report on tests (using VWO or similar). Implement winning results in the CMS. Deliver CRO solutions across five key locales and multiple acquisition channels (Paid & Organic). Continuously optimize website user flows and content. Data Analysis & Reporting Oversee web analytics using GA4, VWO, Salesforce, Search Console, Looker Studio, and other attribution tools. Conduct user research and define actionable insights. Provide executive-level reports with clear, data-driven findings. Document key learnings, wins, and challenges to improve business processes. Support & Hands-On Work Oversee landing page (LP) creation, ensuring adherence to CRO and UX best practices. Co-own the final user experience and layouts on the website. Manage CMS updates and website content. Develop a holistic view of customer journeys to optimize user engagement and conversions. Review and provide feedback on funnel creation. Maintain 3rd party lead generation tools (LeadGen, Unbounce, Zapier, Drift) ensuring error-free configuration. What You’ll Need: Website project management (SCRUM/Kanban), Jira experience. Proven ability to lead web projects from inception to delivery. Experience consolidating stakeholder requirements into actionable plans. Strong CRO expertise in both Web (Marketing) and Software (Product) industries. Proficiency in A/B testing platforms (preferably VWO). Strong analytical and reporting skills (GA4, Search Console, Salesforce). Expertise in WordPress CMS (Silverstripe, Unbounce, Webflow, and Shopify experience is a plus). Understanding of SEO, digital marketing, UX, and UI principles. Experience working with engineering teams. Soft Skills Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
