At The Billericay School, the PE department is composed of a team of experienced staff, both full-time and part-time, who are dedicated to providing a high-quality educational experience. We boast excellent facilities, including a 3G astro turf, a 5-court sports hall, a fitness suite, a 25m swimming pool, and spacious playing fields, all of which enhance our students' learning and practical opportunities. Our curriculum is broad and balanced at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the option of examination-based courses at Key Stage 4 and 5. Our primary aim is to create a greater understanding of the benefits of physical activity, helping students to value an active lifestyle that extends beyond school. We ensure that all students are confident in participating, regardless of their physical ability, and strive to encourage greater extra-curricular participation, both within the school and the wider community. For students pursuing sports-specific courses at Key Stage 4 or 5, we aim to develop strong foundations that will support their academic and career aspirations in the world of sport.
