Administration Assistant required with effect from Monday 28th October 2024
16 hours per week (8.00am -11.00 am Monday to Thursday and 8.00am -12.00pm Friday).
We are looking for an effective and experienced part time Administration Assistant to support the office admin team at Greave Primary by undertaking high quality administrative and organisational processes as required.
This role will contribute to the smooth running of the school office and the postholder will be expected to use their own initiative and manage the role with minimum supervision.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join a friendly and committed school team and to make an active contribution to the day to day running of the school.
The successful candidate will have high quality IT skills and be proficient in Microsoft suite of applications e.g. word, excel, publisher and PowerPoint.
Have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with people tactfully and confidentially and be a good role model within our school community. Act as the first point of contact for visitors to school both in person and on the telephone in a courteous, professional, calm and friendly manner.
Be flexible, motivated and enthusiastic and can deal with the varied and demanding tasks of a very busy school office.
Able to use clerical time efficiently and maintain computer-based pupil software and filing systems including updating and managing the SIMS software administration data for attendance, pupil data and associated reports.
Have good time management skills and is able to prioritise workload and able to work as a key team member.
To assist the School Business Manager with basic finance tasks such as the purchase of goods and services.
