Joanie is a fun womenswear brand, creating feel-good clothing with a nod to nostalgia. We’re looking for a Assistant Product Developer to join our team at our new office premises in Skipton. The role is advertised as a full time position but could have flexible hours. The role is predominantly office based due to the nature of the responsibilities, but will have some hybrid working opportunities after training has been provided.
Working alongside a friendly, passionate team in Design and Development, reporting to the Production Manager, the Assistant Product Developer will assist the team in designing and developing new products, fitting prototypes, and monitoring the production process of creating sustainable clothing for our ecommerce business https://joanieclothing.com/

Our ideal candidate will have gained some previous work experience in a similar role.
The Assistant Product Developer's main responsibilities will be:
* Measuring samples
* Attending fitting sessions and taking notes
* Helping to creating detailed tech packs, size charts and wash cares
* Uploading comments to our PLM system
* Following a critical path for production
* Attending weekly team meetings
* Organising our sample library and maintaining our archive
* Filing and approving strike offs and swatches
* Working across multi products
* Sending parcels and organising samples for ghost photography
* Working with our ecommerce and photography team in Manchester to ensure samples are prepared in line with drop dates - ie hung, steamed, labelled ready for photoshoots - may involved some driving/travel.
We’re looking for someone highly organised, a great communicator, used to working to deadlines and with a keen eye for detail.
The salary for this position is dependent on experience. We are a Real Living Wage Employer.

Skills & Experience
Required
* Working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word
* Technical knowledge of clothing construction and manufacture
* Knowledge of pattern cutting
* Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities
* A sense of urgency
* A keen eye for detail.
Desirable
* Experience in working with a fashion/clothing brand
* Undergraduate degree in fashion design or fashion technology
* Efficient in Adobe Creative software (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator) including CAD skills
* Clean UK Drivers Licence.
