This critical role will bring together our competitive commissioning, tendering, and fundraising efforts to secure sustainable funding that shapes the future of Citizens Advice, supports our policy and advocacy goals, and enables our long-term success. As the Director of Income, you will lead a passionate and expert department, inspiring and developing a team that will deliver significant income growth. This will be key in ensuring our financial sustainability and advancing our transformation programme. Your leadership will be vital in driving impactful partnerships with funders and within the wider advice sector. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of Citizens Advice s income generation strategy, driving growth in both commissioned funding and voluntary income streams. Collaborate strategically with senior leadership and departments to ensure alignment with the organisation s mission and financial objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing funders while identifying and securing new large-scale commissioning opportunities, focusing on securing seven- and eight-figure income. Lead the team to deliver high-quality, competitive bids and tenders that meet funders needs while advancing Citizens Advice s policy and advocacy objectives. Support the development of strategies to diversify income, including expanding voluntary fundraising efforts. Work closely with the Executive Director of Partnerships and Advocacy and other senior leaders to ensure a cohesive approach to partnership development and organisational growth. About You: Significant experience in income generation, including competitive commissioning, large-scale bidding and tendering, and fundraising. Strong leadership experience, with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams to achieve ambitious goals. Demonstrated success in securing substantial funding and building long-term partnerships with key stakeholders. Strategic thinker with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence at a senior level.
