Responsibilities:
As a Learning Mentor, your key role will be to support the comprehensive development of our students. Your duties will include:
1. Offering one-on-one or small group support to students needing extra help with their learning or social-emotional growth.
2. Implementing personalized intervention strategies to address individual student needs and encourage academic progress.
3. Building positive relationships with students, serving as a mentor and advocate for their well-being and success.
4. Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement tailored support plans for students.
5. Monitoring student progress and behavior, providing feedback and guidance to foster positive outcomes.
6. Assisting with the execution of school-wide initiatives aimed at boosting student engagement and achievement.
Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you will need:
7. Previous experience working with children or young people in educational or youth settings.
8. A strong passion for supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of young learners.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
10. The capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
11. A valid DBS certificate registered on the update service.
12. Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
