Job Title: Technical Service Representative Location: Langley, Slough Working Pattern: 4 days on and 4 days off, 12-hour shift work. Travel: May require up to 25% international and domestic travel to other line station locations. About the Role: As a Technical Service Representative at Panasonic Avionics, you'll play a crucial role in providing on-site technical support for In-Flight Entertainment/Global Communication Services (IFE/GCS) products in the UK & Europe. This position involves maintenance and support of aircraft IFE/GCS systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical leadership and guidance on IFE/GCS installation and maintenance.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, collaborating with Customer Support Engineers and Technical Support Engineers.
3. Monitor tasks through the Panasonic Ticketing system, coordinate system introductions, and address technical requirements.
4. Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting, ensuring overall system performance.
5. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and system performance reporting criteria.
6. Collaborate with customer departments and Panasonic to improve processes.
7. Document testing and repairs using computer and bar-coding equipment.
8. Monitor and track spare parts inventory in collaboration with MRO.
Requirements:
9. Experience in aircraft maintenance or technical field support
10. Proficiency in avionics, with knowledge of satellite communications and network troubleshooting.
11. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a focus on software (Linux).
12. Excellent knowledge of engineering applications for technical communications and training.
13. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
14. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
15. Valid driver's license for travel across UK airports.
16. Good presentation and communication skills for this customer-facing role.
