The post holders will work across all 4 pillars of advanced practice: - Clinical practice- leadership and Management- education and research. Key responsibilities: To provide care for presenting patients in an emergency setting acting as liaison and expert in oncology acting within their professional boundaries. To undertake initial clinical assessment, diagnosis, evaluation and development of treatment plan in conjunction with the clinical lead. To advise urgent care, tumour site and ward based clinical and nursing colleagues on the management of acute oncology patients. To facilitate the development of skills and knowledge for other staff, supporting specific educational and developmental needs to meet service requirements.
