You will play a crucial role overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities to create a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. About You The ideal candidate will be expected to: Oversee the daily delivery of facility services and operations. Establish, manage, and ensure the effective execution of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programs. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, maintaining accurate records for internal stakeholders and external inspections. Identify and implement efficiency improvements to reduce operational costs. Key Skills: Extensive experience in facilities management within a professional environment, including a minimum of three years in a managerial role within a corporate setting. Proven track record in contractor management across property maintenance, facilities services, and catering within a multi-site commercial property portfolio. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with colleagues, contractors, and key stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, mentoring, and support. Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (IOSH / NEBOSH). Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality, 5-star facilities services. Expertise in managing both soft and hard service facilities contracts. Strong financial management skills. Knowledge and Qualifications: A professional qualification in real estate and/or facilities management (IWFM Level 4) or equivalent relevant experience. Essential A health & safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH) is advantageous. Project Management (Prince II) certification and professional membership with BIFM or an equivalent body are desirable. Essential Strong educational background, with a minimum of ‘A’ Level/HND or equivalent, demonstrating strong written and numerical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Solid understanding of UK Health & Safety laws and statutory building management regulations, including engagement with Local Authorities. Essential General knowledge of workplace health and safety risks, including manual handling, worksite safety, and trip and fall hazards.
