Job Summary
Please note this post is temporary. Salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours.
You will be a motivated, enthusiastic, and caring individual who enjoys working with adults who have autism and learning disabilities.
Applicants should be experienced in working with adults who have autism and a learning disability, preferably in a residential or home support setting, and possess the skills to achieve a safe balance of promoting independence and managing risk.
You must be an excellent communicator and team worker who can develop good relationships with colleagues and service users. You will show a commitment to promoting human rights and be able to evidence person-centred approaches within your working practices.
You must also have a sound understanding of social care values and the professional role involved in working with adults who have autism and learning disabilities.
Experience in working with adults who have autism and learning disabilities is essential, as well as holding a Scottish Vocational Qualification in Care at level 3 or a willingness to work towards this as stipulated by the Scottish Social Services Council.
