An exciting opportunity to join our growing Moda marketing team with coverage across the UK. Moda Living is looking for an experienced and senior BTR Marketing Manager to join the team.
We continue to push the boundaries of style, service and innovation to craft considered, inclusive residential led neighbourhoods, focusing on best-in-class service and high quality design. We have a clear objective of pioneering positive change to the UK rental landscape and creating happy healthy, connected and well communities.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing our marketing strategy. You will lead our marketing campaigns, evaluate our marketing performance metrics, and collaborate with internal teams reporting into Head of BTR Marketing. You will have a strong marketing background with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Moda is looking for a motivated Marketing Manager to take responsibility for managing brand and marketing strategy for Moda neighbourhoods. You will work alongside the marketing team, external suppliers and on-site teams to support comms building and marketing campaign rollouts. You will play an integral role in the development of overall marketing planning and strategy for Moda and neighbourhoods across the UK. Reporting into Head of BTR Marketing and working on operational neighbourhoods and launching Moda in new locations.
Key activities
1. Support BTR Head of Marketing to lead on brand and marketing strategy for neighbourhoods.
2. Manage day-to-day marketing activities inc. platform management, campaigns, media partnerships, comms and projects to deliver reservations to business plan.
3. Take ownership of neighbourhood marketing budgets and regularly track and report on spend.
4. Manage and support on building launch activities when Moda is launching in a new city, working alongside mobilisation teams and PR agency to disrupt / draw attention to Moda.
5. Maintenance of key marketing channels to ensure standards remain high and content is up to date and regularly refreshed.
6. Creation and upkeep of marketing assets such as photography, brochures, floorplans and video content. Relying on team to deliver and ensuring regular updates in progress.
7. Identify target partners and liaise to agree Moda benefits, plus implement comms rollout for partners. Communicating with existing or new partners to scope out, coordinate and deliver campaigns i.e. influencers, agencies, partner brands and media outlets (TV, radio, OOH).
8. Regular outreach to influencers for sleepover stories (gifted stays).
9. Support on the creation of Moda’s “The NBHD” lifestyle magazine, gathering content and briefing design quarterly. Coordinate print distribution to all locations inc. partner sites.
10. Responsible for advance planning and highlighting project support needed such as design or content resource. Identify upfront and brief key projects to in-house team and/or agencies.
11. Regular presentation creation and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
12. Able to present key marketing updates to Team Moda, investors, agencies and partners.
13. Manage and support on key marketing and brand events i.e. topping out, Open House’s and neighbourhood milestones.
14. Regular competitor analysis and research of BTR and consumer brands, for insights and inspiration inc. visiting competition in each city.
15. Represent the Moda brand and be a key attendee for external events and networking opportunities.
16. Regular visits to Moda offices (Harrogate and London) and Moda’s UK neighbourhoods. Averaging bi-weekly visits to sites.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
1. Experienced BTR marketer.
2. Previous Marketing Manager experience or similar. Senior and able to lead BTR marketing strategy.
3. Strong organisational skills with track record of results-driven success.
4. Able to manage multiple projects efficiently and delegate / brief support as needed. Ability to manage own deadlines and take ownership, regularly reporting progress updates to line manager.
5. Team player with “no task too small” attitude, great ability to work alongside team and work collaboratively across projects.
6. Experience creating and executing strong marketing plans to hit set targets.
7. Budget experience and familiar with reporting and cash flow management.
8. Experience building presentations and presenting confidently. A confident communicator, used to presenting to varied audiences.
9. Exceptional eye for detail with strong time and project management skills. A reasonable “perfectionist” who’s passionate about getting the job right.
10. Outgoing and confident outlook with a willingness to get stuck in.
11. Problem solver with good ideas who uses initiative and is proactive.
12. A good professional approach to work and able to adapt between informal and formal settings.
13. Up to date with current brands and lifestyle trends.
14. A keen traveller hungry to spend time in the UK’s most exciting cities, able to regularly attend Moda locations.
MUST HAVES
1. Experience in BTR marketing.
2. Great attitude and ability to use initiative and work independently.
3. Exceptional organisational skills with ability to manage multiple projects at any one time.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills - meticulous attention to detail.
5. Agile and able to work to tight deadlines. Able to work reactively as needed, to focus on key priorities as day requires.
6. Confidence in presentation building and presenting.
7. Confidence to raise concerns and ask questions as needed. Proactive and looks for answers rather than waits for them to ensure projects progress efficiently, and reports updates to keep team in the know.
8. Good grammar and experience producing comms and copywriting.
9. An ability to think strategically and come up with marketing ideas, ability to understand market trends and respond to customers’ wants and needs.
10. Good understanding of attractive brands and vendors to partner with.
11. Proven track record of delivering high quality marketing campaigns and able to report on ROI.
12. The ability to form and maintain solid relationships with influencers, partners, press and industry bodies.
13. A passion for storytelling and finding new ways to deliver key messages.
14. Confident working with people at all levels of Moda and partner businesses.
15. Agency experience either working in or with agencies directly.
