Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to play a key role within the business. This role is to lead the finance team reporting directly to the Managing Director and will act as an advisor to the Senior Leadership Team. The role will provide financial leadership and insight together with a commercial outlook. This is a hands-on role, combining strategic financial leadership with monthly financial accounting & reporting.
What you'll be doing
1. Lead the annual budget and 4-year planning process to support business objectives.
2. Preparation of Board packs, highlighting risks & opportunities and identifying actions required to deliver the business plan.
3. Provide commercial insight and financial guidance to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team.
4. Act as a trusted financial advisor to department heads, supporting the optimisation of financial performance.
5. Prepare and present monthly financial reports and KPIs with commentary.
6. Monitor and manage cash flow and financial risks, taking proactive actions and making recommendations as appropriate.
7. Take a lead role in the annual audit cycle, working closely with external auditors from the planning stage through to accounts sign off.
8. Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes, and monthly reporting, in liaison with our parent company.
9. Line management of a small accounts team.

About you
Qualifications/Experience
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a commercial setting.
* Strong financial planning, analysis, and reporting skills.
* Experience in business partnering with the ability to challenge and support at all levels across the business.
* Confident using financial systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Our offer to you
Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on experience.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Base: Cornwall Airport Newquay.
