Job Title: Payroll Systems Assistant/ Payroll Systems Support Administrator
Reports To: Payroll Systems Manager
What will the role look like?
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Systems Assistant with a strong technical background to support the payroll function and assist with the development of key payroll-related reports. This role will focus on reporting, data management, and system administration, requiring a solid understanding of SAP Business Objects, SQL, and Itrent, along with the ability to work with high volumes of data and handle sensitive payroll queries.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
* Reporting & Data Analysis:
o Develop, run, and maintain custom reports using SAP Business Objects to meet business requirements, including costing and data reports.
o Handle high volumes of ad-hoc reporting requests, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
o Ensure proper authorisation for reports, as they often contain sensitive payroll data.
o Liaise with stakeholders to clarify reporting requirements and ensure reports meet business needs.
* System Administration & Support:
o Provide system administration support for the Itrent system, including password resets, managing user access, and responding to general system queries.
o Ensure data integrity within the Itrent system, troubleshooting any system issues as they arise.
o Assist with system updates and contribute to improving system functionality in line with business needs.
* Payroll Support & Customer Service:
o Review incoming queries in the shared mailbox, ensuring that payroll-related queries are properly directed to the monthly payroll team when necessary.
* Compliance & Data Privacy:
o Ensure all payroll-related reports and data handling follow GDPR guidelines and company privacy policies, maintaining confidentiality and data security.
o Stay up-to-date with payroll-related compliance requirements, ensuring all tasks adhere to relevant legislation.
* Technical Knowledge & Process Improvement:
o Apply SQL skills to assist in extracting and manipulating payroll data for reporting and analysis purposes.
o Contribute to the improvement of payroll systems, processes, and reports, providing feedback on ways to streamline and automate reporting where possible.
