Unique Opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant at our Pupil Referral Unit in Littlehampton.
This is an exciting role where no two days are the same, and you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students who require additional support.
The ideal candidate will possess a great sense of humour, be flexible, and have a genuine passion for working with children who need a little extra help.
This role involves providing targeted support to students who face various challenges, including learning difficulties and behavioural needs. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop strategies that cater to each student's unique requirements.
You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social skills, and encouraging students to participate fully in lessons. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues alike.
To succeed in this role, you should have experience working with children, excellent observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A Level 2 or higher qualification in English and maths is desirable but not essential. What is crucial is your enthusiasm, patience, and commitment to helping our students achieve their full potential.
We offer a competitive salary of £22,500 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in supporting the educational journey of our students.
