Our ambition is to transform the End-to-End experience and journey for our policyholders, intermediaries, internal users and other parties, through a combination of modernising core systems, data-led digital asset development and integrations (internal and external). This opportunity will also involve close collaboration with international stakeholders, within Allianz Group as well as wider operating entities.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Analyst to join the Transformation Programme Management Office (TMO). The Programme Plan and supporting processes are central to the success of the overall Programme, requiring close management and ongoing rigour to ensure clear standards are set and being achieved, that the delivery remains on track, and as a result there is credibility and confidence in the overall UK Transformation Programme.
The purpose of this role is to own and maintain a consolidated and integrated Transformation Programme plan. This will involve working closely with stakeholders in UK, Group and external partners at all levels of seniority, providing clarity on overall plan status, challenging where deliveries deviate from the critical path, and ensuring clear actions are established and communicated to bring back on track. The plan forms an integral part of the Programme reporting and governance, and the role works in close alignment with the other PMO processes.
Key Accountabilities
1. Creating and managing the UK Transformation Integrated Programme Plan, including all UK workstreams and alignment with Global build plans and external partners where necessary.
2. Liaising with stakeholders to ensure adherence to their workstream plans, ensuring consistent application to feed into the Integrated Programme Plan.
3. Tracking deliveries across the various Programme workstreams to identify and communicate impacts of plan changes on the critical delivery path. This includes identifying and communicating both financial and resourcing impacts that deviate from the original plan.
4. Leveraging information in Jira (and other systems) to monitor progress against plan and identify risks or issues associated with achieving, and manage stakeholders to address these.
5. Identifying, managing and tracking programme-wide dependencies, assumptions and plan risks, providing proactive mitigation, and escalating as required with path to green plans.
6. Identifying and managing programme contingency, including application of management reserve into plan activities.
7. Consulting with key stakeholders on the programme for change requests that impact the plan, as well as providing impact assessments of changes on the wider programme plan.
8. Developing and maintaining plans in JIRA to fit the various tracking and reporting needs, as well as ensuring the format of plan is appropriate for the broad variety of stakeholders (e.g. Steering Committees, Board Papers…).
9. Supporting tooling outcomes in relation to plan.
10. Maintaining one source of the truth related to plan and supporting artefacts to the programme.
11. Supporting the creation of benefits realisation plan aligned to core delivery plan timelines.
12. Inputting plan information into senior level reporting across the UK and global governance forums.
13. Coordinating plan requirements with other delivery leads across the programme.
14. Working closely with the rest of the TMO domains to deliver collective TMO outcomes and ensure plan priorities are clearly articulated and well understood by all.
Technical Skills
1. Project Management technical skills including organisation, governance, estimation, planning, scheduling, tracking, reporting and risk/issue management.
2. Proficient in change management skills including communications and ability to effectively manage stakeholders at varying levels.
3. Previous experience in use of Jira and Confluence.
4. Proficient in Project Management & Office tools such as MS Office Suite and MS Excel.
Experience
1. Experience working in small to medium projects large, with some involvement in plan activity.
2. Ability to focus on detail whilst also maintaining a longer term view.
3. Experience working with external vendors and ensuring a collaborative approach to meet joint needs.
Qualifications
1. Professionally qualified within Project Management – APM PMQ, MAPM or PMI/equivalent preferred.
2. Professionally qualified in Project, Programme or Portfolio Methodologies – minimum Practitioner Level in at least one of Prince2, Agile, MSP, MOP or equivalent.
