Job summary
Thisis an exciting opportunity for a psychologist to undertake a development rolein our neuropsychology pathways providing a direct clinical offer and alsohelping shape psychological provision. We offer excellent supervision andsupport from a Consultant Neuropsychologist. The job is full time, but parttime hours would be considered. You will have experience in neuropsychological assessment. We are looking forsomeone who enjoys MDT working with lots of opportunities to providesupervision, consultation and training. This would include developing psychological and cognitive skillsfor the staff team in line with a matched care approach. The neuropsychology servicesits within Community Care Psychology, a large and supportive psychology teamwhere there are lots of development opportunities and CPD. We have previouslysupported people to complete their QICN as well other trainings ( CAT). To find out more please contact .
Main duties of the job
1. Providingneuropsychological assessments and interventions for people with acquired and neurodegenerative brain injury, including FND, and their families and contributing to aculture of support and collaboration both in the service and with partner. Interventions may involve family members andcarers and include liaison and consultation.
2. Activecontribution to MDTs: providing case discussion and care planning with anemphasis on sharing biopsychosocial formulations and evidence basedinterventions
3. Contributingto audit, research and service development
4. Providingformal and adhoc supervision to other staff, including trainees as well asproviding teaching and learning opportunities.
5. Providing clinicalexpertise and leadership in the psychological and cognitive needs of peoplefollowing a stroke and ABI and their families and contributing to a culture ofsupport and collaboration both in the service and with partner agencies.

Qualifications
Essential
6. BSc/BA Honours degree at 2:1 or above in Psychology
7. Post graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS
8. Evidence of regular continuing professional development through further professional training and experience, as required by the
9. HCPC and the BPS
10. Eligible for registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) by the BPS
11. Registered with HCPC as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
12. I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer
