We're looking for a seasoned Principal Medical Writer to join us to oversee the development of robust scientific content and the onsite delivery of an innovative and award winning standalone event. This is a pivotal role which will lead on the development and delivery of the scientific programme, whilst overseeing a 5-person high performing scientific services team.
What You’ll Do
1. Designing and creating the full range of medical education/communication programmes for implementation under their guidance
2. Directing delivery of high-quality scientific content and providing internal leadership of editorial teams across several accounts
3. Leading scientific discussions with clients and external experts, face to face and on calls
4. Developing scientific strategy to inform tactical planning of accounts, both internally and with clients
5. Managing editorial resource
6. Driving organic growth opportunities on accounts
7. Acting as scientific lead for proposals and pitches
8. Line management, mentoring, coaching, and training
What You’ll Need
9. Extensive agency experience, with time served as a Senior Medical Writer
10. A track record of scientific and editorial leadership for large/complex accounts
11. Strong leadership and communication skills, high emotional intelligence, the ability to adapt your approach according to the needs of clients and teams, and the ability to respond rapidly to situations and manage internal/external issues
12. A track record of identifying organic growth and contributing scientific insight to proposals and pitches
13. Ability to deliver events, and experience of digital projects
14. Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, e.g. ABPI, GPP3, ICMJE
