Absolute Recruitment are looking for a Powder Coater to join one of their well-established clients based in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing several different sized metal products. You will have a keen eye for detail and be used to working to high specifications and standards, whilst working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
Hours of work –
The AM shift is Monday – Friday 06:00 – 14:30, and the PM shift is Monday – Thursday 14:30 – 01:00. Shift allowance for the noon shift. 12 weeks temp to perm.
Duties of a Powder Coater –
* Ensuring the correct product is in the correct bay – Checking for damage to any of the parts and immediately reporting them to the Team Leader.
* Checking route cards are for the right part – Ensuring protection on the part is correct – Processing items to a high standard and in accordance with specifications.
* Plan work to minimise waste of raw materials and machinery – Ensure extractors, doors and all other work equipment are working correctly.
* Conduct basic reactive and preventative maintenance work on the equipment.
* Monitor the machinery and promptly advise the Team Leader on any issues – Complete and scan route cards.
* Help load and unload as and when required – General housekeeping duties.
Skills/Qualifications –
* Powder Coating experience – DESIRABLE.
* My client is willing to train someone to do this if the right candidate has no experience.
* Able to manage stressful situations.
* Excellent time management and organisation skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a team.
* Attention to detail.
