Salary: £24,790 - £25,183 FTE (£6,686 - £6,792 pro rata)
We are seeking a passionate and committed Learning Assistant to support pupils at the Newark Hill Academy.
Working under the direction of the Class Teacher and/or the SENDCo, you will promote development and learning, and will help to ensure full participation. You may be required to deliver daily sensory circuits daily.
The position available will be required to support whole class/small groups and deliver interventions for pupils.
You should:
have a range of behaviour management methods and be able to adapt learning strategies to meet the needs of specific pupils
be able to build rapport with pupils in order to support one to one working
be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
possess excellent communication skills at all levels in order to be able to liaise effectively with parent/carers and outside agencies
be a skilled professional with a wealth of experience with dealing with pupils who have Autism
Be passionate about using technologies to support learning
Experience working in a school setting preferable. Previous experience of working in a similar role or with children with Special Educational Need as well as holding a First Aid certificate would be advantageous.

This role is for 11.5 hours per week, 8:30am-3:15pm (encompassing a 45min break), working days will be Wednesday and Thursday and is required in term time only; therefore this is reflected in the pro rated salary.
