Warehouse Team Leader | Based in Tuxford with occasional travel to Lincoln | Full Time | £34,000 - £37,000 per annum depending on experience Our client is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join their team in Lincoln. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, motivating, and leading warehouse team members. This includes providing direction and monitoring performance to ensure the depot meets high performance standards and delivers quality service to all customers. Are you the right person for the job? Mobile to travel to other depots Willing to relocate or currently living within travelling distance of the site Educated to at least secondary level, with qualifications in English and Maths Experience managing a team in a warehouse environment Good working knowledge and understanding of warehousing, distribution and supply chain Self-motivated and organised with effective communication skills both written and verbal PC skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access Confident, optimistic and with the stamina and drive to create change as well as cope with sustained and changing job demands Flexible and can embrace and cope with change and accept accountability Inquisitive, innovative and can think ‘outside the box' and is driven by continual improvement and with high personal standards and integrity Has common sense, is pragmatic and is self-motivated with a ‘can do' attitude Has a vision and is challenging, enthusiastic, and confident with self-belief coupled with an ability to deliver Resilient and tenacious with a clear ability to handle multiple issues and is self-disciplined and an effective personal/time planner Credible, can operate at all levels creates the right impression and is confident with the customer Has personal goals and can balance the work/home relationship and possesses a sense of humour Can work under pressure to deadlines and understand priorities Basic understanding of HR practices What will your role look like? Ensure that Warehouse Team Members comply with health and safety requirements as trained Report any accidents immediately and ensure that all accidents are investigated immediately and thoroughly All MHEs are to be checked at the start of each shift and signed out, and all faults are to be reported to the Warehouse Manager Organise and confirm daily labour according to volumes of work in consultation with the Warehouse Manager and monitor attendance throughout the shift Ensure that the hygiene of both the depot and staff is always at an acceptable level Monitor and further develop a high level of teamwork and morale within the department Identify and report all operational problems to the Warehouse Manager regularly, making recommendations for improvement and working closely with transport operations Monitor performance, timekeeping, overtime and sickness levels of individual Warehouse Team Members and report to the Warehouse Manager regularly To achieve and improve upon customer satisfaction targets by effective management ensuring that quality aspects of the depot operate to project the highest standards to the customer Identify and advise appropriately, your Warehouse Team Members of errors, and maintain historical data to identify repetition in preparation for future action Gain the confidence and trust of Warehouse Team Members by leading by example and trying to resolve issues on a day-to-day basis to avoid formal grievances Ensure all KPI's are achieved daily Orders per FTE, Order Lines per FTE, Picking errors To maintain and further develop a high level of teamwork and morale within the department and Company To work closely with team members, other departments and the customer within a flexible team-based approach What can you expect in return? 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays What's next?
