Job Overview:
Oaktree Childcare is looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers (RCWs) to join our team at our Residential Children's Homes located on the Fylde Coast. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to young people in a residential setting, helping them navigate daily activities and encouraging their personal growth. Your ability to communicate effectively, implement care plans, and create a safe and nurturing environment will be key to making a positive impact in the lives of the young people you support.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide Compassionate Care: Offer unconditional support to children and young people in our care, encouraging their participation in outdoor activities and fostering positive experiences.
2. Individual Support: Guide young people according to their specific needs, supporting them in their development and helping them to build confidence and independence.
3. Record Keeping & Administration: Maintain accurate records, including care plans, daily reports, and other administrative duties to ensure continuity of care.
4. Uphold Care Standards: Follow company policies, national legislation, and best practices to provide the highest standard of care and ensure a safe environment for the young people and your team.
5. Safeguarding: Take all reasonable steps to safeguard young people and staff members, promoting a safe and secure environment at all times.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the care team to ensure a consistent approach to care and support.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people in a care or childcare setting is highly desirable.
2. Qualifications: A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) is preferred. Candidates without this qualification must be willing to work towards it.
3. Driving License: A full, valid driving license is essential for the role.
4. Commitment to Care: You should be dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care and willing to follow all relevant policies and procedures.
