Planning Manager
Our client is seeking a dedicated Planning Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team in operations planning and scheduling. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in production planning and master scheduling, along with strong leadership skills and a background in engineering and manufacturing.
Responsibilities for Planning Manager
1. Lead and develop the planning team to achieve high performance levels
2. Deliver operations plans and schedules from start to finish
3. Collaborate with various departments including manufacturing, engineering, and sales
4. Ensure capacity and capability planning
5. Oversee production of finished goods and sales orders
6. Conduct resource planning, materials estimating, and forecasting
7. Ensure compliance with operational procedures and health and safety standards
8. Provide leadership and development opportunities for the team through coaching and motivation
9. Utilise planning tools such as MRP and ERP to process tasks
10. Generate accurate reports and conduct root cause analysis
11. Monitor progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders
12. Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Qualifications and experience as Planning Manager
1. Previous extensive experience in production planning and master scheduling
2. Background in engineering and manufacturing
3. Knowledge and experience using ERP/MRP systems
4. Strong time management and prioritization skills
5. Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Day-to-day as Planning Manager
