Mechanical Engineer
Location: Newry
Days: Monday to Friday
We are working with a leading NI Business to recruit for their new Mechanical Engineer who will play an important role in supporting their multi-disciplined maintenance team to optimise company assets in a cost-effective manner.
Duties will include:
1. Work closely with maintenance management and contribute to the day-to-day decisions and activity critical to the efficient running of the manufacturing sites.
2. Provide technical leadership to the maintenance team to ensure that plant and equipment is maintained to the highest standards therefore minimising downtime and maximising uptime.
3. Instil root cause analysis techniques to breakdowns; implement corrective action plans and/or contingency plans and communicate to the site management team.
4. Ownership of planned maintenance schedules for manufacturing equipment to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and optimise maintenance costs.
What we are looking for:
1. Qualified in a relevant plant engineering discipline (City & Guilds, BTEC or Degree).
2. Minimum of 3+ years post apprenticeship experience.
3. Supervisory / leadership experience is desirable.
4. Confident IT skills.
5. Health & Safety Training is desirable.
