About the role:
Reporting to Group Aftersales Managers you are responsible for assisting with the selling, receiving and delivery of service, parts and accessories. In addition, you will deliver in-store customer service whilst assisting with the overall organisational, promotional, and stocking duties. Ultimately, you will look to increase incremental aftermarket sales through pro-active communication and disciplined customer prospecting utilising different communication channels and business systems.
* Assists with promoting and selling parts and/or services to meet customer needs.
* Monitors maintenance alerts triggered across our customers machinery fleet and assists with the execution of these maintenance alerts.
* Assists the machine monitoring specialist with the analysis of machine health within the enhanced machine dashboard.
* Delivers on pro-active aftermarket targets as well as customer acquisition KPI’s.
* Searches and classifies potential customers and their needs and requirements in products, parts and services, using John Deere POPS tool, SVAP, enhanced machine dashboard and internal CRM reports, update customer profiles as required in dealer business system and John Deere CRM tool
* Promotes and pro actively upsells company campaigns across service and parts for the group.
* Promotes and sells maintenance and wear parts such as filters, lubricants batteries, belts, field kits, accessories, soil engaging metal or other items.
* Consults customers on parts specifications, options available for maintenance or repair needs, upsells dealer parts and service offerings and solutions.
* Executes sales parts marketing plans and shares ideas for future campaigns.
* Conducts customer market research to support dealer sales and marketing activities.
* Executes telemarketing sales operations, establishing initial contacts with customers via phone or other communication channels, recovers connection with inactive customers.
* Promptly informs customers about dealer parts news and offerings, new products arrivals, special parts promotions, incentives, or changes in commercial terms.
* Coordinates prompt resolution of customer issues or connects them to the appropriate departments as part of call responsibility.
* Maintains control of inventory management, invoicing, and other administration tasks and reporting.
* Assists in keeping parts inventory clean, orderly, and well organized.
Relevant Skills/Experience:
* Competent knowledge of agricultural equipment and the farming industry – desirable
* More than 2-years’ experience in retail sales or telemarketing.
* Pro-active sales mindset and self-motivation to generate sales activities and disciplined customer prospecting.
* Efficient use of techniques, principles and psychology of salesmanship and customer motivation to drive sales.
* Ability to establish and maintain customer contact, understand customer needs during the conversation.
* Ability to use standard computer applications, communications, and internet functions.
* Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to build rapport and influence customers over the phone, face to face or online.
* Active listening, competently expressing thoughts, asking questions and handling objections / difficult conversations.
* Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
