Purpose
The purpose of the role will be to:
1. Provide accurate and timely financial information to key stakeholders, including the Senior Manager RTR and the Group Financial Controller RTR.
2. Operate within the RTR stream, working closely with site accountants to deliver on the financial performance of the business unit and subsequent reporting.
3. Utilize excellent ERP & IT skills to deliver solutions to arising issues.
4. Adapt to an interesting and diverse role that requires flexibility and problem-solving skills.
5. Ensure that all relevant Sox controls are completed in the area.
Key Responsibilities
1. Report to the Senior Manager RTR, working as part of a team producing financial reporting for all business units.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information and associated reporting to Pilgrims US.
3. Input into relevant areas of monthly and quarterly disclosures.
4. Complete all reporting in line with established group timetables.
5. Develop deep knowledge across a range of areas including revenue, cost of sales, overheads, inventory, and fixed assets.
6. Deliver key balance sheet account reconciliations that feed into overall entity reconciliations.
7. Complete relevant areas related to annual and statutory accounting.
8. Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure consistency of work across business units and implement best practices.
9. Work on cross-functional projects, providing expert financial guidance.
10. Operate with the highest standards of financial integrity and demonstrate company values.
11. Work as part of a motivated team, coaching and supporting junior members.
12. Carry out other reasonable duties to ensure the efficient running of the Pilgrim's Shared Services Centre.
Essential Criteria
1. Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
2. Strong technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
3. Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders, including Senior BU finance staff.
4. A collaborative team player across business units.
5. Strong interpersonal, planning, and presentation skills.
6. Advanced IT skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
7. Flexibility regarding travel requirements.
