Join Northumbria Police’s Business Services team as a Cleaner, playing an integral role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and functionality in custody suites. This behind-the-scenes role involves working in a police station environment, focusing on cleaning duties that contribute to a secure and hygienic setting.
What will I be doing?
* Using specialist equipment and chemicals to clean washrooms and kitchens.
* Vacuuming and mopping floors.
* Operating floor machines such as scrubbers and dryers.
* Emptying bins and performing general cleaning duties.
* Maintaining knowledge of health and safety legislation and adhering to safety standards.
* Cleaning within custody areas, including cells and medical rooms.
* This role requires physical effort and working at heights.
This is a vital role in our Police Force. No prior cleaning experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a reasonable level of fitness. Punctuality and reliability are essential.
