Job Title: Complex Healthcare AssistantJob Description As a Complex Healthcare Assistant at KASE Care, you will play a vital role in delivering specialist, person-centred care to individuals with complex health needs. Your responsibilities will include clinical, personal, and household care, tailored to each service users care plan, while ensuring dignity, privacy, and independence are maintained at all times.Main Duties & Responsibilities Providing specialist care and support to individuals with complex health conditions, including neurological disorders, physical disabilities, and long-term illnesses. Assisting service users with daily personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing, and toileting, while maintaining their dignity. Supporting individuals with mobility challenges, using hoists, transfer aids, and other equipment as required. Administering medication and assisting with clinical interventions such as PEG feeding, catheter care, and tracheostomy support (subject to training and competency assessments). Delivering palliative and end-of-life care with empathy and compassion. Promoting mental and physical stimulation through conversation, engagement in social activities, hobbies, and outings. Assisting with nutritional needs, including meal preparation, feeding, and hydration management. Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, including light cleaning, laundry, and infection control procedures. Accurately recording care delivery, including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and daily log entries. Ensuring compliance with infection control, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations. Reporting any health concerns, changes in behaviour, or incidents to management promptly. Following company guidelines on handling service users' finances, ensuring proper documentation and receipts.General Responsibilities All staff members must: Maintain confidentiality in accordance with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and infection control policies. Adhere to the Code of Practice set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Skills for Care. Commit to continuous professional development, attending mandatory training and refresher courses.Experience Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare role, preferably within complex care or critical care settings. (Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.)Desirable Qualifications Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent. Specialist training in areas such as tracheostomy care, ventilation support, PEG feeding, or catheter care (training can be provided).
