We are recruiting for an Adult Safeguarding Practitioner who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
As an Adult Safeguarding Practitioner, you will offer specialised guidance and assistance regarding adult safeguarding to frontline personnel operating within acute Trust environments.
To assist the Lead nurse for adult safeguarding in the management of caseloads and to support staff in clinical areas to provide care which is fully compliant with both the mental capacity act (2005) and the care act (2014)
You are required to work closely with the adult and children’s safeguarding team and the Trusts safeguarding partner agencies including HSAB members. Contribute to safeguarding adult’s reviews, domestic homicide reviews and any other interagency review/inquiry as required, ensuring the Trust’s internal adult safeguarding processes are coordinated with these external review processes.
You will promote best practice in ensuring that the welfare of adults at risk and the choices wishes and feelings of adults underpin safeguarding interventions (Making safeguarding personal)

To assist the Named nurse for adult safeguarding by implementing and integrating both national and local safeguarding initiatives and priorities into practice.
To collaborate with all divisions to ensure the adult safeguarding service operates efficiently and effectively, which includes offering direct advice and support to individual practitioners and operational teams concerning the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
To oversee the execution of the adult safeguarding team's training strategy, while monitoring and assisting divisions to enhance compliance with safeguarding training, and to work in conjunction with colleagues in safeguarding children to incorporate the Think Family frameworks.
The successful candidate is expected to maintain a visible presence within ENHT services as part of their role in promoting safeguarding knowledge and practices.
To engage with various staff groups internally through multiple methods to reinforce the Safeguarding Adults agenda, including facilitating Link Practitioners forums.
To deliver in-person safeguarding support and supervision to staff in clinical settings dealing with high-risk safeguarding cases.
To ensure quality control and documentation of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs) applications with relevant supervisory bodies.
To assist clinical areas in evaluating patients' mental capacity in cases where the patients' cognitive conditions are complex.
