Key Responsibilities
Working Foreman
* Lead by example, working alongside your team to complete groundworks projects efficiently.
* Oversee daily site operations, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope.
* Maintain high standards by ensuring all work aligns with project specifications.
* Collaborate effectively with crew members and subcontractors to achieve shared goals.
* Promote a culture of safety, enforcing regulations and maintaining a secure job site.
* Operate and manage machinery, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
* Document project progress, materials used, and work performed accurately.
* Address and resolve on-site challenges swiftly to keep the project on track.
* Monitor project progress and report any issues to management.
* Uphold health and safety standards.
Machine Operators
* Operate a range of machinery, including excavators, loaders, dumpers, and rollers, based on project requirements.
* Use advanced attachments such as tilt rotators for precision work.
* Prepare sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and excavating trenches or foundations.
* Perform excavating, grading, and compacting tasks according to project specifications.
* Load and transport materials such as soil, gravel, and concrete within the site.
* Assist in the placement of pipes, drainage systems, and other groundwork components.
* Conduct daily pre-start checks on machinery to ensure proper functioning and safety.
* Report any faults, damages, or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations to create a secure work environment.
* Work closely with site foremen, groundworkers, and other team members to complete tasks efficiently.
* Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to problem-solving on site.
* Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards, meeting project specifications and timelines.
* Take care to avoid damage to surrounding structures, utilities, and the environment.
Groundworkers
* Install drainage systems, including pipes and manholes.
* Lay foundations, concrete slabs, curbs, and paving.
* Construct retaining walls and other structural elements.
* Operate and maintain tools such as breakers, compactors, and hand tools.
* Assist with the use of machinery like excavators and dumpers when needed.
* Work closely with site managers, foremen, and other team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
* Communicate effectively to resolve on-site challenges and ensure project timelines are met.
* Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards and adheres to project specifications.
* Regularly inspect completed tasks to confirm quality and accuracy.
Labourers
* Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, setting up materials, and organizing tools.
* Help with leveling and compacting ground to ensure a stable base for construction.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring it is safe and efficient.
* Assist groundworkers in tasks such as laying pipes, installing drainage systems, and constructing foundations.
* Mix and pour concrete or other materials as needed.
* Handle and transport materials, including soil, gravel, and tools, around the site.
* Use basic hand tools such as shovels, picks, and wheelbarrows.
* Support the operation of machinery like excavators and dumpers by providing assistance and ensuring safe practices.
* Work closely with site foremen, groundworkers, and machine operators to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
* Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to problem-solving when challenges arise.

Requirements
* Relevant experience in your chosen role (preferred but not essential for Labourers)
* A strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset
* Commitment to health and safety standards
* Proven experience operating machinery in a groundworks or construction setting (not essential for Groundworkers and Labourers).
* Valid CPCS or NPORS certification (preferred but not essential for Groundworkers and Labourers).
* Valid CSCS card (preferred)
* Ability to read and interpret site plans and drawings.
* Driving licence
* Ability to perform manual labour and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
