MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - 1ST OR 2ND SHIFT
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will primarily be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production, facility and office equipment and systems. This position requires a highly motivated, self-directed multi-crafted worker that can work autonomously in a fast-paced production environment. The right person for the job must be focused on teamwork, task completion, and will be successful in their role as they develop and maintain positive internal customer relationships.

* Preferred education will include a High school diploma/GED and completion of a relevant trade apprenticeship, or have graduated from a formal industrial maintenance training program combined with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
* The successful candidate will be expected to use a computer and other office equipment. In addition, the candidate will be expected to endure constant standing, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling in repetitive motion job tasks requiring continuous eye/hand/foot coordination. Environmental conditions consist of frequent exposure to noise. Up to 50 lb. maximum lifting and carrying on an occasional basis. Team lift is required on lifting over 50 lbs. Up to 1000 lb. maximum pushing and pulling (pallet jacks) on an occasional basis. Moving objects over 1000lbs will require the use of a forklift or motorized pallet jack. Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment (including hot, cold and/or noisy areas). Must be able to wear required personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
JOB DUTIES:
* Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain electrical equipment.
* Apply skill and experience to varying voltages including 480, 240 and transformed 24v power.
* Proven experience providing maintenance on PLC hardware/software, electrical panel and drive components, A/C and D/C motors, gear trains, shafts/journals, pulleys, bushings and bearings.
* Read prints, diagrams, schematic, and service manuals to determine work procedures.
* Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on sheet metal forming and machining related equipment per OEM specifications/manuals up to and including routine work performed on belts, fluid levels, filters, greasing bearing/seals and calibration.
* Minor plumbing (fixing leaks in sinks and toilets).
* Competence in commercial HVAC systems.
* Responds to emergency maintenance requests with a willingness to respond to off-shift and weekend facility/equipment repairs.
* Must have a willingness and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, schedules, deadlines and departmental coverage.
* Perform other essential duties as assigned in support of operational success.
