Job summary
Butetown Medical Practice is a busy GP Practice in Cardiffdedicated to delivering excellent healthcare to our 10,000-practice population.We are looking for an enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join our friendlyand forward-thinking team on a part time basis 16-20 hrs a week.
You will be working alongside our clinicaland nursing team, providing an essential support function and delivering thebest care to all our patients. The successful candidate should be confident andable to work under pressure and should be able to demonstrate stronginterpersonal and communication skills.
Main duties of the job
The main duties are:
Phlebotomy
Supportingthe practice nurse and GPs with the management of chronic disease clinics.
UndertakingECGs
HealthCare Checks (measuring and recording height, weight, BP & lifestyle etc)
Immunisationsand to assist in NHS seasonal health campaigns, such as, seasonal fluvaccinations. And following training, the administration of B12 / Pneumonia andshingles injections
Woundcare and dressings
Chaperoneduty when required.
Stockordering and management.
Ensurefridges are cleaned and stocked routinely

Removalof clinical waste and replacement of sharps bins as per guidelines.

Salary:negotiable dependent on experience
NHS pension scheme.
