Are you an Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity? A leading manufacturing business based in the area of Berkshire is looking to grow their maintenance team and is on the lookout for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. This role is within the business factory, offering a salary of up to £50,000, inclusive of shift premium, depending on experience and 12-hour shifts on a Panama pattern (which is 2's and 3's). Overtime is also available at applicable rates.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Working closely with the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Manager to ensure safe, timely, and effective completion of on-site reactive and PPM duties.
2. Liaising with the relevant departments to minimise downtime.
3. Working on both reactive breakdowns and PPM activities to keep the site running as efficiently as possible.
4. Experience with panel reading drawings, fault finding in panels, control systems, PLC controls, and both 3 phase and single phase.
5. Competent with motor theory.
6. Carrying out overhauls and repairs of plant and machinery including PLCs.
7. Supporting maintenance shutdowns.
Suitable Candidates:
Electricians should be minimum level 3 NVQ/C&G qualified in electrical maintenance with hands-on experience, along with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience.
If they are HNC/Degree qualified without an apprenticeship, they must be competent with motor theory, able to work inside panels, and read drawings.
Candidates would be considered from the forces or those with outside UK experience with qualifications NARIC translated to UK equivalent. Siemens PLC experience would be a bonus.
