As a Data Visualisation Analyst, you will build and own the governance structure around all the visualisations created on Kellanova owned instances. Using data modelling and querying tools, you will help establish best practices for SQL code design and build, applying logic and joining tables for use in a data visualisation platform. You will work with the Analytics and Reporting team to provide continuous improvement on new and existing dashboards, helping embed them into business processes and provide navigation training for end users. Based at our Media City office in Manchester, this hybrid role allows for flexibility with three days spent in-office each week. You'll closely collaborate within a core team of six and report directly to our Senior IT Business Relationship Manager, Analytics Delivery.
The role will help drive Kellanova on the journey to become insights driven by leveraging system-generated data, creating reporting tools and solutions that deliver on business needs. A Taste of What Youll Be Doing
1. Visualization Governance Framework Create visualization governance framework for all KEU dashboard builds
2. Performance monitoring & reporting Conduct performance audits for all the major dashboards build by the Analytics Delivery Team, to make sure they comply with best practices and provide a quarterly report on the audit findings.
3. Monitoring Ensure business continuity with existing reporting solutions by checking data load performance and troubleshooting. Alongside the Business team SME, help resolve any flagged issues or queries relating to business databases or reports/dashboards, working closely with I.T. support teams where necessary.
4. PowerBi migration Work closely with end users of existing solutions to identify and implement migration of existing dashboards to PowerBi
5. External perspective keep a view on data visualisation tools and best practices outside of organisation, understanding how and what we should adopt, whether thats within Kellanova (KEU Data Community or Global sessions) or through a network of external companies (Tableau User Community, peer companies etc.)
Were Looking for Someone With
6. Advanced development and deployment on PowerBi (Desktop, Web)
7. Familiarity with other visualisation tools (e.g. Qlikview)
8. Technical data modelling and querying experience (Microsoft SQL Server, AWS technologies (Redshift, Glue, S3, DBeaver and Snowflake)
9. R Studio: design and develop automation solutions
10. Data Visualisation: knowledge of visualisation best practices and design processes
11. The ability to inherit existing data models, including troubleshooting and evolving code.
