Responsibilities:
* Maintain all equipment in a safe and reliable condition.
* Carry out mechanical and/or electrical work within the factory (within the scope of competence), including any work as may be required in any unit.
* Assist in the training of other Production Technicians and attend any training courses necessary to improve skill level.
* Ensure safe working practices at all times and adhere to department rules and regulations.
* Liaise with Management regarding any occurrence or foreseeable occurrence likely to cause a breakdown.
* Set equipment to the required standard to achieve optimum conditions for quality standards.
* Minimize material wastage.
* Carry out all relevant procedures in accordance with company conformance to ISO 9001.
* Change over equipment for various production runs.
* Ensure that all statistic and record sheets are accurately filled in and kept up-to-date.
* Be aware of reject production, high wastage, and process loss.
* Ensure compliance with all Company rules and regulations, maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and a clean and tidy workplace.
* Ensure manufacturing adheres to and conforms with the required technical and quality specifications in line with the Company’s ISO 9001 quality systems.
* Support the lean manufacturing program in conjunction with the PPI continuous improvement team.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
* NVQ level 2 equivalent qualification in processing and demonstrated experience in a similar role.
