My local government client is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join their organisation as a Principal Internal Auditor to work within their established audit function.
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the position will lead a number of risk based audit reviews right across the business, so experience within an internal audit position is a must, preferably across public sector or local government. As a Principal Auditor you will manage the entire relationship with one of their clients; this will involve Audit Committee attendance.
The ideal candidate will ideally be from either local government, or from a Top 10 consultancy where your client base is public sector. You must hold a full IIA or ACCA/ACA/CIPFA qualification, alongside upwards of 4 years internal audit experience.
On offer is an attractive salary, excellent career progression which could allow a leadership role within 2-4 years.
This role can be performed predominantly remotely based, however would suit someone West of London, in the South West, or even West Midlands due to the fact you’ll need to attend Audit Committees on a monthly basis.
