They are currntly looking for a high quality Health and Safety Manager with extensive experience in marine work, safety with diving teams and similar. \n\nRequirements \n\nFor this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;\n\nHealth & Safety qualification such as a Masters, Bachelor's Degree, NVQ, or NEBOSH\nIOSH Membership (preferred)It is also essential that you hold the experience below;\n\nA successfully history of operating on marine and waterway projects whilst adhering to Health and Safety standards\nExtensive history within the health and safety sector, conducting successful inhouse training experience\nPreviously worked within a Health and Safety Manager position where you have managed safety for diving and underwater teamsAdditional skills;\n\nKeen eye for detail\nSolid analytical skills\nAbility to significantly lead safety teams effectively\nClear and effective communication skills, written and verbal\nExcellent time management skills, ability to prioritise tasks efficiently\nCapacity to recognise workplace hazards and assess potential risks to health and safety\nStrong expertise in creating emergency response plans and coordinating actions during accidents or incidents\nA solid understanding of relevant health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance within the organisationThe Role\n\nJob Title: Health and Safety Manager\nJob Type: Permanent\nProject: Marine, diving and underwater works\nLocation: Nottinghamshire, East MidlandsDuties\n\nRegularly conduct safety inspections, adhering to safety standards\nOffering staff training on health and safety procedures and regulations\nMonitoring workplace conditions and practices to identify areas for improvement\nProvide guidance and consultation to management, employees, and contractors\nUpdate and maintain required safety records up to date as per regulatory standards\nEstablish health and safety policies in accordance with applicable laws and regulations\nEffectively lead safety meetings, addressing any health and safety concerns professionally\nRecognise possibilities to enhance health and safety performance, boosting workplace safety\nExamine accidents thoroughly to identify root causes and implement measures to prevent them\nPerform workplace risk assessments to recognise potential hazards, implementing measures to minimise risks\nOversee compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and company policies, and ensuring corrective actions are taken as needed\nCreate and execute emergency response plans and procedures, encompassing evacuation protocols, first aid measures, and emergency drills\nConsistently evaluating and updating health and safety programs to address emerging risks and enhance workplace safetyThis is a permanent position with an excellent salary on offer for the successful candidate.
