A DEVELOPMENT MANAGER WITH RENEWABLE ENERGY /GREEN ENERGY EXPERIENCE IS URGENTLY REQUIRED
This Chartered Surveying and Engineering Consultancy specialises in the Renewable Energy sector.
They are looking to enhance their Renewable Energy team with a Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying & securing Sites for Solar, Wind and Renewable Energy Projects before working with the Planning Manager and MD through the Development life cycle.
A hybrid role you will be working from home, an office nr Kings Cross London & in the Field.
As a Development Manager you will broadly have the following responsibilities:
* The identification & securing of land & planning consent in relation to utility scale energy storage & solar farm projects.
* Create & present land appraisals to the MD to ensure they are both technically and commercially viable and are within budgetary targets.
* Directly engage landowners and land agents to determine interest in project participation.
* Represent the company in community settings & in front of large landowner or community groups
* Co-ordinate with the UK&I land team & legal counsel to negotiate and execute land options and lease agreements
* Coordinate with internal teams to manage and conduct environmental and ecological studies relating to the local planning process
* Coordinate with internal team to secure connection to the local grid network
* Coordinate with company’s engineering and construction teams to conduct constructability due diligence
* Work with Planning Team to prepare and submit planning applications to local planning authorities, liaise with local authority planners to progress applications, discharge conditions and other associated permits and consents
* Generate project budgets, schedules, risk assessments and stage gate approvals
* Assist in any marketing activities or project sales
The successful candidate will have a relevant Degree combined with experience of site identification and the management of the planning process in relation to Renewable/ Green Energy projects.
In return the successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary of between £70,000-£100,000, business related travel expenses, home office set up, pension, 25 days holiday and a realistic bonus scheme.
