HGV TECHNICIAN DAY SHIFT
NO WEEKENDS!!
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000pa (salary is negotiable for the right person) plus Weekday Overtime
22 days holiday plus bank holiday
Hours of Work:
2 x shifts available to choose from:
1. Monday To Wednesday 08:00 - 17:00, Thursday 09:00 - 20:00, Friday 08:00 - 17:00
2. Monday 08:00 - 17:00, Tuesday 09:00 - 20:00, Wednesday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00
NO WEEKEND WORKING, overtime available in the weekdays!
My client, a fleet repair company, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic HGV Technician / Fleet Engineer / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician to join their site in Liverpool.
Aim of Role:
Key components include:
1. Maintain and repair vehicles in accordance with Company Policy.
2. Apply professional technical methods and standards.
3. Communicate with the Customer and maintenance desk during and after maintenance/repair processes.
4. Complete a given workload in an expected timely manner.
5. Submit all associated documentation in a timely manner.
6. Accept technical training from internal and external sources.
7. Respect equipment provided by the company.
8. Hold or be prepared to train for the relevant licenses to drive or test vehicles and equipment.
9. Have knowledge of the DVSA standards for heavy and light vehicles.
10. Observe the company's documented safe working practices and Risk Assessment.
11. Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure vehicles are maintained above the minimum standards required by the DVSA.
2. Report recurring manufacturer issues to the Manager.
3. Assist in coordinating repairs on company assets.
4. Ensure vehicles are maintained in line with the service planner.
5. Undertake vehicle and equipment inspections, service, and repairs in accordance with company policy.
6. Be organized and possess good diagnostic ability.
7. Problem-solving is a must.
8. Have a good attitude towards housekeeping.
9. Implement processes and efficient workflow.
10. Ensure high repair standards.
11. Hold industry-recognized training qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQs, or equivalents).
12. Be familiar with modern fault code reader diagnostic systems.
13. Have a wide range of knowledge of light vehicles to HGV vehicles.
14. Ensure all parts are booked out of stock and allocated to the correct vehicle.
15. Support a team environment.
16. Participate in any required training and development.
17. Promote a safety and environmental culture in line with company policies.
18. Ensure workshop and yard areas comply with Health and Safety legislation.
