Paid Social Account Manager
Role Context:
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of your account(s) across all paid channels whilst operating as the main campaign point of contact for our clients. Making use of platform knowledge and account management practices, you’ll ensure effective management of projects to brief, schedule, and budget. Ultimately, you’ll work to deliver world-class paid campaigns which exceed our client’s expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Campaign Management
2. Responsible for the output of your team, client-facing and operational, and accountable for adherence to controls and best practices across paid media campaigns.
3. Strategic understanding of the client’s business and KPIs, keeping up to date with the latest Industry news and proactively spotting trends, product releases, and other opportunities which could enhance our activity.
4. Maintain a forward-thinking and innovative approach in the development of all paid media activity, but with social as your specialism.
5. Oversee the production of comprehensive paid social media plans (+ supporting material) that align with client’s objectives and KPIs. Able to clearly articulate the rationale for proposed campaign tactics (channels, budget, audience, formats etc.) and present these back to the client.
6. Comfortable troubleshooting and helping train junior team members with daily challenges.
7. Work with the team to ensure the standard and accuracy of weekly/monthly campaign performance reports. Lead client calls on a regular basis and support the wider team to present results as necessary.
8. Ensure all performance commentary delivers valuable insight and recommendations to clients. Work with the team to identify trends and recommend actions on-platform to capitalise/mitigate these trends as necessary.
9. Identify opportunities to test and innovate in the paid space. Develop these into initiatives that can be used to further evolve the standard & efficiency of paid social buying across the wider team.
Client & Partner Management
1. Develop strong relationships with key client stakeholders and lead team communications with them.
2. Advise internal and external stakeholders around practice area/industry trends, displaying a deep knowledge of own practice area/industry and how it impacts customer businesses.
3. Demonstrate expert knowledge of and monitor the client’s industry and competitive environment in order to create effective solutions.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of the media and technology developments that influence our client’s business.
5. Deliver excellence in client service – including:
6. Quality control over all work produced, including that of indirect reports.
7. Set up and attendance for all status meetings, reviews, and general client meetings.
8. Ensure all client requests are met and surpassed and manage client expectation effectively.
9. Respond to all client briefs and requests in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
10. Use Wavemaker tools to drive forward new channel suggestions and performance-orientated recommendations.
11. Demonstrate an enterprising and pro-active attitude to all client dealings.
People Management
1. Ensure the effective management of more junior team members, guaranteeing workloads are monitored and prioritised to meet deadlines.
2. Set objectives for your team, reviewing and providing feedback regularly.
3. Ensure team members are conducting daily visibility and budget checks and tracking actions for monthly and quarterly reviews.
About you:
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day client management, leading the response to briefs, strategy, and planning, while effectively managing the team to deliver best-in-class results. It is important that this person is comfortable leading in client meetings and can build solid relationships with the clients as well as the team and Wavemaker colleagues. The Snr Account Manager will be supported by a team of account managers and executives on both GE HealthCare and Cytiva accounts.
It’s essential that you have:
1. Excellent understanding of the strategic and tactical application of digital marketing in general.
2. Proven Project Management, Leadership, Stakeholder and People Management Experience.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and countries.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Strong presentation skills.
6. Advanced excel skills. Must know how to use VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, and web queries.
7. Expert practice area knowledge and in-depth understanding of search campaign set-up, management, optimisation and reporting across Google Ads.

14. Strong understanding of how paid social works within the performance and digital ecosystem.
