As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Glass Liquidity & Cash Management team within CIB, you serve in a leadership role by providing technical coaching and advisory for multiple technical teams, as well as anticipate the needs and potential dependencies of other functions within the firm. As an expert in your field, your insights influence budget and technical considerations to advance operational efficiencies and functionalities. Job responsibilities Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of software engineers that work on basic to complex tasks Ensures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders Identifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessary Provides input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal certification in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field concepts and advanced applied experience. In addition, proven experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent In-depth knowledge of the services industry and their IT systems Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Passionate about people – their well-being and career development Strong communication skills demonstrating the ability to present ideas and concepts as part of a large, collaborative group Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience working at code level Experience with Java (17 and above) Experience with Front End technologies e.g. JavaScript, React, AngularJS) Experience with Git source control system Experience with DevOps including Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) tools e.g. Jenkins, Sonar
