Salary: £85 - £108 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only (temporary with the potential for a permanent role)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support neurodivergent students and those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a welcoming and inclusive school. This role involves working with students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and learning difficulties, providing both one-to-one and small group support.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist students with their learning, adapting materials to meet individual needs
* Support social, emotional, and academic development in a structured setting
* Implement behavior management strategies with a firm but fair approach
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with neurodivergent students or those with SEND (ASC, ADHD, learning difficulties)
* Strong behavior management skills with a compassionate and patient approach
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, Psychology, Education, Youth Work) – desirable but not essential
