We are looking for a full-time dental associate due to the expansion of our well-established practice in Renfrewshire, Scotland, that’s surrounded by beautiful towns and villages whilst being a 15-minute drive into the heart of Glasgow. Sponsorship roles are available.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing comprehensive dental care: This includes diagnosing and treating oral diseases, performing routine checkups, fillings, extractions, and other dental procedures under the NHS SDR.
2. Adhering to NHS guidelines and protocols: Ensuring compliance with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices set by the National Health Service (NHS) in Scotland.
3. Maintaining patient records: Accurately documenting patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes in electronic health records.
4. Promoting oral health education: Providing patients with advice on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and diet.
5. Working as part of a team: Collaborating with other dental professionals, such as dental nurses, hygienists, and therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
6. Participating in professional development: Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental techniques and technologies through continuing professional development (CPD) courses.
Essential Requirements:
1. Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC): Holding a valid dental registration with the GDC in the United Kingdom OR working towards registration in the next 6 months.
2. Dental degree: A recognized dental degree from a UK university or an equivalent qualification. OR currently in progress with ORE due to finish part 2 in the next 6 months.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: The ability to effectively communicate with patients, explaining procedures clearly and building rapport.
4. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills: Precise hand-eye coordination for performing dental procedures.
5. Compassion and empathy: A genuine concern for patient well-being and a desire to provide high-quality care.
6. Ability to work under pressure: The ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment.
Desirable Requirements:
1. Experience working in an NHS setting: Prior experience working within the NHS in Scotland or a similar healthcare environment.
