About the role As Security Solutions Architect, you’ll lead from the forefront of cyber security innovation in the energy industry. You’ll be instrumental in the definition, development and implementation of the enterprise IT/OT information security architecture strategy and technology roadmap aligned to the strategic requirements of the business. This role will involve collaborating closely with the Drax Security and technology delivery teams. You’ll ensure compliance between business strategies and information security policy, and lead the provision of cyber security expertise, guidance, and systems necessary to fortify our operations against threats and ensure resilience in a critical and dynamic environment. You’ll as the voice for their wider team, advising senior stakeholders to ensure challenges, learnings and opportunities experienced across the business inform strategic decision-making. You’ll also empower and enable the Architecture team to deliver the short and medium-term plan within clear decision-making parameters, providing resources and guidance to support them. You’ll provide thought leadership to help shape the function's response to challenges, and approach to delivery of the medium-term plan. Additional responsibilities include: - Leading the definition and modelling of security architecture for current and future capabilities to solve systemic security challenges, - Enabling cyber maturity and resilience and comply with corporate, legislative, contractual or regulatory requirements - Crafting technology strategies, strategic product visions and roadmaps that align seamlessly with Drax objectives and support emerging use cases within the Drax business, ensuring our protective measures remain ahead of the curve. - Ensuring that the right security capabilities, technology selections, solution designs, and plans are in place to deliver optimal implementation and operating boundaries. - Monitoring external industry developments and establish business cases for investment capabilities and development initiatives. - Continuously measuring the performance of both new and existing tools. - Anticipating technology trends, future threats and capability requirements. Assessing their business value and team and wider capability development to address these. - Ensuring all activities conducted in the department are compliant with internal organisational policies and external statutory & regulatory requirements where responsible. - Delivering technical expertise to advise and guide business projects to deliver secure solutions, working with Enterprise, Solution and Technical Architects, Technology and Data teams and the wider security group to ensure we meet our compliance requirements and business standards in all change. Who we’re looking for Alongside a degree or have relevant industry experience, you’ll hold a recognised security and architecture accreditation such as CISSP-ISSAP, TOGAF, SABSA, SANS (GICSP), Senior CAP (Architect) or similar. You’ll have extensive demonstrable cyber technology and domain technology specific experience, ideally supported by vendor specific accreditations such as Azure and AWS. You’ll have a deep understanding of Security Frameworks: notably, the Network & Information Systems Regulations (Cyber Assessment Framework), IEC62443, OG-86 and ISA-99; and evidence that security architecture is able to meet multiple control frameworks in highly complex IT/OT environments and can be complimentary. This role requires you to have senior stakeholder influence and communication experience, excellent supplier and stakeholder management; supported by strong verbal and written communication skills. You’ll need experience in systems delivery including analysis, design, implementation, testing and support and hold or able to successfully achieve Government SC vetting.
