Experience the pride of being part of a select group – one of only four universities in the south-east of England to achieve a prestigious Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework. Additionally, we proudly rank among the top 140 universities globally in the Times Higher Young University World Rankings.
Ambition, Responsibility and Openness drive our every endeavour. Join our esteemed institution with a proven track record of success, and where dedication to excellence is key. We want people to make their mark in a professional community that truly values people, innovation, and achievement.
The Role:
As the Faculty Recruitment Officer, you will play an integral role in implementing the Faculty's schools and colleges recruitment and outreach activities and strategy while supporting the Faculty and its academic departments.
Reporting to the Faculty Marketing Manager, your responsibilities include coordinating schools and colleges visits, attendance at UCAS and other recruitment fairs, representing the faculty and university and attendance at other events so as to raise the profile of the university for its external audience. The role holder will be expected to work with the central schools and colleges team to ensure a joined-up approach to the university’s outreach and recruitment strategy.
The postholder will identify opportunities and innovative solutions that will assist the faculty and University to reach its targets in relation to UK undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment and support the organisation and delivery of recruitment initiatives, events and talks delivered virtually and in person (on and off campus) for students, parents, teachers and advisers in target schools and colleges.
Working closely with the Faculty and wider Marketing teams, you will help drive marketing and communications efforts across the university. You’ll be based at the University of Portsmouth but will travel frequently to schools, colleges and recruitment events throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays. A full clean driving licence is highly desirable and DBS clearance is essential. You must also be prepared to work evenings and weekends as required.
For days when not attending events, hybrid working may be available. The team currently work 2/5 days per week at home.
Interviews are anticipated to be held 30 April 2025.
