As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, you are responsible for the assessment and care of respiratory patients, prioritization of treatment, delivery of care, and evaluation.
The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care with or without direct supervision, required to demonstrate procedures, and to supervise qualified and/or unqualified staff within the department.
Main Duties
1. Oversee the day-to-day function of the ward.
2. Support the Ward Manager with the day-to-day management of the ward, including ensuring staffing levels are safe and raising concerns when necessary.
3. Support the Ward Manager in managing post holders within ward establishment.
4. Responsible for leading a team and ensuring you have an appropriately skilled and effective workforce.
5. Flexible approach to working patterns - this post will require rotation to night duty and weekend working, including bank holidays.
As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse on Fordwich Ward, your responsibilities include:
1. Support Ward Manager in managing post holders within ward establishment including registered nurses and generic support workers.
2. Maintaining a flexible approach to working patterns.
