Summary
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is looking for an Digital Trainer to enhance our team based in Exeter. You will join us on a full-time (37 hours per week), permanent basis. In return you will receive a competitive salary of £35745 - £38223 per annum. The role is based at our Service Headquarters in Exeter, but there is the availability of flexible and/or home working, which can be discussed and agreed with the successful applicant.

About the role:
This is a unique opportunity to join our Digital, Data and Technology department as a Digital Trainer. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our digital transformation journey, helping to drive digital proficiency across the Service.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about digital technologies and has a keen interest in training and development. You will be responsible for designing and delivering high-impact training programs that leverage our investment in digital tools and technologies, such as Microsoft 365, to improve business effectiveness and efficiency.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, is proactive, and has a creative approach to problem-solving. Your up to date knowledge of digital tools and technologies, combined with your ability to identify and address skill gaps, will be key to our digital transformation.

Key responsibilities of the Digital Trainer role:
1. Develop and deliver high-quality, accessible training for end users across the Service, Resources to include how to guides, videos, and a maintained skills training SharePoint site.
2. Having a creative flair for design and delivery.
3. Possess comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in a wide range of digital tools, systems and technologies, including: Software applications such as Office 365.Cloud based computing solutionsDigital communication platforms
4. Explore and evaluate innovative training solutions and methodologies to enhance the efficiencies of digital training programs.
5. Facilitate training sessions in a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations, drafting risk assessments where appropriate.
6. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessment and feedback mechanisms to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
