Band 6/7 Clinical Pharmacist (Locum) Location: North Powys Community Hospitals (Welshpool, Newtown, Machynlleth, Llanidloes) Salary: Band 6/7, dependent on experience Contract Type: Locum (Full-time available) Accommodation: Not provided, local options can be signposted We are looking for a Band 6/7 Clinical Pharmacist to join our team across four community hospitals in North Powys: Welshpool, Newtown, Machynlleth, and Llanidloes. This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical ward cover for a variety of patient groups, including Care of the Elderly, Medical, Palliative Care, and Rehabilitation patients. As part of this role, you will work alongside a skilled team of pharmacy technicians and assistants, as well as the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT), including GPs and therapy teams. You will have support from a dedicated team of pharmacists and other pharmacy professionals. Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical pharmacy services across the four hospital sites. Work collaboratively with the MDT to deliver high-quality patient care. Review and manage medication therapy for elderly, medical, palliative, and rehabilitation patients. Contribute to the development and delivery of clinical guidelines and protocols. Offer expert advice on medication-related issues to healthcare professionals. Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds and patient care discussions. Essential Qualifications/Experience: Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Experience in clinical pharmacy, ideally in a hospital or community setting. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility and willingness to travel between hospital sites as required. Additional Information: Full-time locum positions available.
