We seek an exceptional individual to join our Economic Growth and Skills service to drive forward education for adults and play a pivotal role in the wellbeing of people in Wakefield district. Role Overview: As the Service Manager, you will play a key role in steering the Council's adult education agenda. Your responsibilities will encompass securing long-term funding for skills through the devolved Adult Education Budget (AEB). You will be accountable to an independent Governing Board for establishing a regime of audit, quality assurance and compliance processes in accordance with the requirements of WYCA as the devolved budget holder for West Yorkshire. Traversing the complex requirements of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and the FE Commissioner’s Office. This complex role is critical to reducing worklessness and improving the life chances of young people and adults and requires collaboration with a wide range of local and regional partnerships.
