WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, the Group Leader will play a critical role in driving the growth and expansion of the Manufacturing Group within the UK, Europe, and beyond. With a strategic focus on growing the vertical in Europe, the Group Leader will lead by example, providing strategic direction, operational leadership, and motivation to acquired businesses and their teams. This role emphasizes achieving measurable results, fostering a culture of excellence, and contributing to future M&A initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and strategic capabilities, a deep understanding of the software industry, and a proactive, hands-on approach. This position demands a confident, innovative, and business-minded professional with exceptional business acumen and the ability to execute plans effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership:
1. Provide vision, guidance, and coaching to the portfolio's businesses to drive growth and operational excellence.
2. Mentor Business Unit Leaders, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices across the group.
Operational Oversight:
1. Act as a change agent for acquired businesses, implementing global best practices to maximize value.
2. Lead and participate in Senior Management Team meetings across portfolio businesses.
3. Oversee financial and strategic reporting activities on a weekly and quarterly basis.
4. Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance productivity through your Business Unit Leaders.
5. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
M&A Integration:
1. Serve as the integration manager for acquisitions, managing both commercial and back-office components.
2. Identify opportunities for further acquisitions to grow the portfolio.
3. Build and maintain external business relationships to facilitate M&A activities.
Growth and Performance:
1. Drive financial performance by aligning operations with overarching business goals.
2. Actively contribute to new business development and the long-term success of Jonas Europe.
Talent Development:
1. Mentor and support Group Leaders and Business Unit Leaders, fostering leadership growth.
2. Foster a culture of continuous learning, inclusivity, and professional development that supports employees from all backgrounds.
3. Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities for others.
Stakeholder Engagement:
1. Serve as a key liaison between business units and executive leadership.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
3. Advocate for the inclusion of diverse voices in decision-making processes, ensuring equity in stakeholder representation.

DEMONSTRATABLE PRE-REQUISITES
1. Working within a software-related field/sector(s).
2. Multi-business and jurisdiction Management experience.
3. M&A deal flow experience.
4. Autonomous and supportive in equal measures.
5. Prior software experience, preferably as a Director or Senior operational role.
6. Strong understanding of accounting and business principles and strategies.
7. Experience in driving senior level management teams both strategically and tactically.
8. Competent user of data analytics to validate decisions and strategy.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
LOCATION
1. Remote or Office/Hybrid (ability to travel, sometimes at short notice).
2. The position is based in the UK or North America and will report to one of our Portfolio Managers.
